  Star
For A Night
The newest local talent contest that
gives an aspiring talent the chance to be a celebrity
contestant for one night. Hosted by Asia's Songbird, Ms.
Regine
Velasquez, the show gives away P50,000.00 weekly,
P100,000.00 for the semi-finals, and P1,000,000.00 plus
a contract with Viva Records for the grand finals.
An
episode usually features four contestants picked from
hundreds who auditioned. Star For A Night goes to the
chosen contestants and inform them that they qualified
for the weekly contest. This is called the hit.
The contestants undergo dance, if needed,
and voice rehersals at Viva Entertainment Center. They
get to pick what they wear on the contest. A lot of contestants
like this portion, fitting. They are booked on
a hotel the day before the actual contest and given a
makeover. They also get a chance to perform with Regine
on a special production number along with other contestants.
