Grand Finalist
Romelo Valeña luckily won
the first semi-finals of Search For A Star which automatically
qualified him as the first grandfinalist. He sang Martin
Nievera's Ikaw Lamang Ang Mamahalin for the weekly finals,
Regine Velasquez's Kailangan Kita for the semis, and
Barry Manilow's Even Now for the grand finals.

The semi-finalists stayed at Crown Asia in Antipolo.
They stayed there for four days. All their activities
were recorded on tape.

 During
the production number, Marielle Agos, contestant #1,
forgot the words of her lines and Ms. Regine stopped
performing and asked the staff to retake the number
from the top. Every one was waiting for Regine to lose
her temper but instead she felt sorry for the girl and
was quiet about the whole thing. He he he. Mabait din
pala siya kung minsan (j/k).
If you watched the show, you will notice on the backdrop
monitors that they display a different logo and picture
of Ms. Regine. This was the first design of the show's
title card but was soon replaced by the current one.
Regine's gown was originally beige. It was changed to
blue during editing. |
