Presidential Pardon for former President Joseph Estrada
Former President Joseph 'Erap' Estrada was given unconditional pardon by President GMA.
Glorietta Bombing
The Glorietta bombing has many interpretations. The most popular was that it was staged by the government to cover up their many fiascos which have been flooding the media recently. The government however is declaring it an industrial accident.
ZTE Controversies
The 'gift-giving' which happened during the breakfast meeting organized by the President with provincial Governors and Mayors was disowned by Malacanang. The 'hand-outs' alledgedly ranged from Php200k up to Php500k. Imagine how many attended the said meeting and it is very ludicrous to claim that not 'all' were given gifts! And imagine how much was given out that morning, when most of department budgets are very limited and scarce. The government obviously has a corruption problem which is being tolerated by the Presidency since the 'bribery' happened within the perimeters of Malacanang!
EO464 is a bogus law preventing people from talking against
the President especially about her corrupt practices. Our lawmakers
should contest this law and prevent the President from using
the law in covering up graft and corruption in the government.
It's a shame
that the government of President GMA are resorting to "technicalities"
in order to stay in power and cover up their wrong doings. Atty.
Francis Ver should not let himself be used for such shameful
tactics!
The ZTE broadband
deal is one of the things that can really ruin your day. It
is very wise for President Arroyo not to continue the ZTE contract.
But even if the NBN deal is dead, we should still look into
what happened and render appropriate punishment to those who
financially gained from the said contract and make precautionary
measures to prevent such event to take place again.
Sino
ba ang dapat paniwalaan sa mga involved sa ZTE deal controversy?
A
Campaign For Peace
We support the war against terrorism, but we condone the war
going on in Afghanistan. The life of an innocent American
is equally valuable to the life of an innocent Afghanistan.
Let us not add to the death toll of the September 11 incident
by bombing Afghanistan and declaring war. The U.S. should
bring to court the perpetrators of the World Trade bombing
incident without sacrificing innocent lives. Because if they
keep bombing Afghanistan and knowingly kill innocent civilians,
then the U.S. will be no different to the terrorist that they
are pursuing. |
